As she took to the stage to accept her award, she began her acceptance speech by saying: 'Oh wow! Well goodness, this is lovely. And this is a real honour and I think of this occasion as just the most perfect opportunity to express a very personal and long-felt bit of gratitude.'
'I feel like there are many who are not just an audience but have been a sort of, companion to me, well, over the course of a lot, of a lot of years,' she continued. 'And I feel indebted to them for their commitment, and their devotion and their time, and their interest.'
The Emmy Award winner explained she wished she could individually thank every single individual who supported her throughout her lengthy career.
But the blonde beauty added: 'I will just simply say, "Thank you," to the people, to those people, for their friendship and their support and for the role they've played in the roles that I've played, and this described relationship.'
'This very meaningful, and decades old relationship, has been the greatest privilege and a blessing so I thank you all very, very much. Simply, thank you,' she concluded gracefully.
